Chapter 2

"In the absence of external information, people are free to let their imaginations run free as long as the mental models they develop account for the facts as they percieve them." (Norman 39)

I thought that this passage was interesting because it seemed so correct. I have heard hundreds of times people giving each other explanations for things that, while the explanation is incorrect, it comes to the correct answer.This passage seemed to put into words that idea. It explained why they do it, not just that they do it.
